Alison is our sympathetic, perceptive and hardworking legal assistant, one of the lynchpins of our Private Client Department. Having worked at three other law firms previously, she joined us 2015 with a wealth of experience and is regarded by colleagues and clients alike as helpful, approachable, supportive and confidential. Many of our clients mention her in their feedback, praising her listening skills, patience, and ability to understand and sympathise with problems.

 

Alison enjoys the variety Private Client work affords, and particularly appreciates the small size of HMG where she gets to interact with everyone, and “clients are still known as clients and not customers, which is so important to me”. The best lesson she’s learned over her career, she says, is how best to deal with others: “Gaining trust from your colleagues and managers takes time but is rewarding, and helps build a healthier place to work.”

 

A relative newcomer to Oxfordshire, she loves the slower pace of life, cleaner air and open space it affords.
