Rachel is a highly knowledgeable and personable Senior Solicitor who joined HMG in 2018 bringing her extensive expertise to our Private Client team.
Since qualifying in 2003 Rachel has gained a wealth of experience advising clients on matters ranging from straightforward wills to complex estates. She specialises in probate and estate administration, the preparation of Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney, and the administration of trusts.
This work often involves dealing with sensitive estate administration and helping people at a difficult time. Rachel therefore likes to meet clients face-to-face at the outset, finding “it helps to build an effective trusting relationship from day one.” She loves meeting so many different people, making no one day the same; and has settled in well at HMG, relishing “the heritage of the firm and the fact that it has been part of the community for such a long time”.
Clients have given Rachel lots of lovely feedback over the years, but she is frequently told how easy she has made everything for them. “I think the nature of my work often means that clients appreciate it when you take some of the pressure away from them and make things as easy and straightforward for them as possible”, she says.
And the most important lesson she’s learned during her career so far? “You will always keep learning, there is always something new. Always ask lots of questions!”
Alongside her law credentials, Rachel holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration; and whilst relishing her job she also loves spending quality time with family and friends.
